As part of the BBC's summer of British films they are showing this 1957 classic! I remember the first time I saw it - about 25 years ago now - it seemed very violent, how times have changed!
It stars Stanley Baker, Patrick McGoohan, Herbert Lom, William Hartnell, Sean Connery, Sid James, Alfie Bass, Gordon Jackson.
Right, I'm off to watch it now - btw, night night all !sleep!

Night, Trumpy.
Have a good trumping session in your kip tonight, see if you can make the duvet hit the ceiling with the gassiest trump of all time.

Re: Hell Drivers.
Its a bit chatty lots of flashbacks better than Noose though that was crap.
Re: Hell Drivers.
This film has dated! The acting of Patrick McGoohan was camp and OTT. And a young Sean Connery with giant bushy eyebrows didn't really say or do much!
Re: Hell Drivers.
I disagree, I think it stands the test of time very well. A classic, even if the driving is 'speeded up' somewhat.
Stanley Baker? Brilliant!
Stanley Baker? Brilliant!
The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Re: Hell Drivers.
Stanley Baker gives his usual intense performance. McGoohan was playing the pantomine baddie!
Re: Hell Drivers.
Harris and McGoohan acted better than Connery really.
