When porn stars are no more...

Post by Ned »

When you have a video/DVD featuring someone you know has since died, does it affect your enjoyment of the film at all? Might be a bit morbid to ask, but I've been wondering about this since the other day, after popping an Air Tight video in the vcr and seeing Anna Malle in action. I had to skip her scene as it felt wrong, somehow.

Over to you then...

You can still watch a mainstream movie and find Ingrid Bergman or Marilyn Monro attractive and desirable. The problem seems to be when cracking one out. Yeah, I think it might prove a problem for me---the wanker's form of necrophilia.

But there is a niche market for films from the 20s onwards, so it obviously doesn't bother everyone, Ned.

Yes; every time I see Lea de Mae or Karen Lancaume.
A natural, timely death I can cope with; not the tragic ways these two
lovely women were taken.

Karen Lancaume was particularly tragic, but a tortured soul by the sounds of things.

I think theres a fine line between where fantasy stops and reality begins

Fantasizing about the deceased is a stretch,IF YOU KNOW

I sometimes wish I'd never found out half the things I know about the adult industry

Has certainly changed my indiscriminate viewing habits

Apparently doing a BA in English can destroy your appreciation and enjoyment of books due to the habits of over-analysis the degree instils.

The BGAFD forum is similar........ you can learn too much about the industry, and the possibility of ANALYSING films (angles, acting, the most recent post on the forum by the lead actress, lighting fgs!) could lead to a diminishing interest and apathy for porn.

Has the reality affected the fantasy for any of ye peeps on here?

I find there is a "golden age" for me, when all was well, and Claudia Casali was around. Still a few from that era working, and looking good.

The extreme stuff just leaves me cold.

It didn't occur to me that people would do that.

But in a world where people go to websites to download images of hostages having their heads sawn off by terrorist scum, nothing should surprise me.

Dunno what it is, Carac, I'm immune to the ol' "Willie Thorne" too.

Is the segment of time in my life called 'the porno years' at an end, with the big 3-0 coming up?
