Yes very interesting to see such a senior Republican coming out with these remarks.
But worth noting he never went public with any of these views untill he had a book to flog. Im not saying that he is not correct. Its just worth bearing in mind what his motives may be for saying it now.

To be honest, and whatever the rights and wrongs of the invasion, if I had to choose one or the other then I'd far rather have the West in control of the global oil supply than a motley bunch of militaristic dictators (Saddam's Ba'ath mafia) and religious fruitcakes (the Mad Mullahs next door in Iran).
