Techie Q : Free AVI to MPG converter

hi guys anyone no where i can download a free file converter? All the ones i've came across are free trials and only do 50 per cent of the fle!! cheers in advance!

I have always used AVI 2 DVD and get along with it fine and it's free.

I use some freeware called "Super" that seems to covert any format to any other format - it's not failed me yet anyway.
