Joe A

Post by adultwebmaster »

I find it hard to believe that a year has passed since Joe Adelman died.

A lot has happened to me in the past twelve months, but I still can't get over how fast the time has gone.

I was also thinking of him tonight, partly because I lost my mother (and John's of 'Kims Amateurs') just over a week ago and her funeral was last Tuesday.

We all hang on to life via such a delicate thread, something that's become far more evident to me, the older I've got.

If you go to the pub tonight, please raise a glass for old Joe, a great guy who's never forgotten.

All the best.

That is a quick year; the same for Paul Hunter, the snooker player.

Yes, it is symptmatic of advancing age, unfortunately.

You've heard of the film Four Weddings and a Funeral? I've been to Four Funerals and a Wedding this year.

It's life. For whoever it is we hold dear, we have the memories.

I'm sorry for your losses, Blue. And you're right about life. But the people who go on leave us precious memories, and as long as we remember them they are still here, in a way.

Sorry if that sounds like patronising pish, but it isn't supposed to be. At my dad's funeral, due to the stuff that was said, people came out smiling, remembering who he was and not what he became when old age got to him. We celebrate them for what they were.

Again, apologies if . . . well, you know the rest.

A year already?

I remember adding something to that thread someone was going to print out and give Joe while he was in hospital. Twas a long thread, and I hope it cheered him up a little.

It's amazing how we can all pull together as one when someone needs us.

Joe's name pops up at least once a month, and its pretty regular I search his name on here, when people ask for the easiest software possible.

I'm sure he's chasing the ethnic girlies around whereever he is now, so give er a harder one for me Joe :)

Joe is not far from my thoughts either. We even have an award under his name in memoriam.

Blue sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my dad a few years ago and its weird I srill think about him at the strangest of times. Like driving. I often remember those who have passed on for one reason or another.

Joe was a good guy who went out of his way to help me on a number of occasions and he is still and will be missed for a long time to come.
