Yeah, I agree!

Cis cup has never been top priority for Celtic, we tend to get knocked out at this stage- I feel it is always significant, as it sets up the possibilty of a treble.

We are blowing so hot-and-cold at the mo, m faith in the current squad is diminishing.

I have a poster on my wall of the Celtic team that reached Seville: the top player we had then, all playing well!! Larsson, Sutton, Hartson, Labert, Mjallby, Petrov.......... the only weak link we had was the goalie.

Changed days, but it will get better, a full-back and a top striker in the Jan transfer window.

I hope Dundee United do it, Craig Levein is doing a great job there.

Man U set the precedent many years ago when they dissed the FA Cup because it wasn't a money spinner using it more to give the Squads, fringe & developing players a game

As to how good/bad celtic really are...home & away says it all
Still any team that beats AC Milan can't be counted out

On the aggregate system, they're quite good at the home/away... they play the percentages.

Under the Champions League system, with one-off ties with 3 points at stake, the home teams generally really go for it- and Celtic become a cropper.

I remember we cuffed Ajax in Amsterdam a few years ago in final pre-qualifying........... then we had our first CL game in Turin when we were cheated out of a draw!!! I think we've had a European-away inferiority complex since. No confidence, no swagger.

Which is why you need a world class poacher like Larsson

Defend for grim death when away but have something on the counter

Will be interesting to see what Rangers have when in Spain for the rematch
against Barcelona....i don't need to ask who you'll be supporting ;-)

Lol, !happy!

At the end of the day, if it's televised, I just want to be entertained.

Valencia are my Spanish team, but I love the Catalans too.

You'd be glad Ranieri left Valencia then

Good at getting them to the finals but oh what a lamentable record once there

I think very few people don't like Spanish teams in general
They come to play...etto,deco & ronaldinho
When they remember to defend they usually win a title or 2 ;-)

If i was a footballer, my priority wouln't be the Premiership, I would positively aspire to play in Spain-even at a reduction in wages.

Not many of our native Britons play abroad now. You had Lineker, Hughes showing how great they were, even Steve Archibald and Souness!!

More recently there was Gazza and Paul Ince.

If more of our top players played there, they would pick up more ideas, techniques and methodologies for training etc, which benefit the national sides, England, Scotland.

Players go where the money is best unfortunately
The EPL seems to pay the most judging by the amount of big names that keep arriving

I agree,Spain has the strongest league by a mile, technically for some time

language is about the ownly barrier really...and mid day naps aaahhh!!!!
