I agree! I think that people think that people should just wake up and figure it out when in reality it's what those past colonialists want..infighting so that it would make it easier to take those resources. Same for what's going on in the Middle East. Keep them fighting against each other so they can get that oil!

We all believe in personal responsability but if you're saying Africa can't get it together because they're not smart enough or whatever, take a look at the plight of blacks all over the globe and you'll see the same or almost the same kinds of problems. Can we as blacks rise above it? Yes! But when you put in covert racism it makes it harder to navigate and if you don't realize what's going on it's usually to late.

I think you can certainly blame others for what happened to mother Africa in the past. I think what people seem to miss about slavery and what black people are like now has more to do with the mental aspects of slavery and how and why we as blacks treat each other like we do. This is something I don't expect whites to understand. True some blacks make it in life and rise above racism and stuff but one major problem is those who made it didn't help their fellow man make it. In other words, every man for himself. !teacher!
