LoL... they were the first of a new breed of dialetic and non "london/queens english" born comics.... The sad thing is I believe they may all have gone to one of them trendy uni's cos they was clever like!

"eki thump" with a black pudding so reminds me of my adoptive yorkshire grandparents.... and seeing them both laugh out loud while watching it brings back fond memorys of child hood.

When i lived in norfolk one of our teachers at Acle High school (alex atterson, did odd music as well as being scotish, lol) did a bird watch thingie with bill oddy (before he, alex, taught) he recounted the travels and swore us to never disclose that while he and bill were speeding to see/hear the greatest number of birds in the uk that they broke the speed limit going from place to place.

I have such a fond memory of alex.... even when I was blowing up the BBC micro's the school had he enspired me to actualy learn about the maths behind the fun stuff of droping weights and acceleration speeds and such stuff.

He also quiped at one assembly that no matter how daft his trousers were... he was proud to be a womble (think check and baggy and he was a rather short and rotund looking guy, lol)

The posters of the moon I pulled from my dads http://www.nationalgeographic.com/ magazines are still, I believe, adorning the science block at acle high

Yes and the big ginger barsteward can co and pump himself bandy ... sooner or later these football players and managers will realise that money is not the answer to everything. I hope he falls flat on his face over what he has done as he has left the safety net of being a well respected manager (and all round good guy) with Scotland to putting himself in the firing line at Birmingham a club that is not far from being "in crisis" at this present moment, and if this proposed takeover does take place ...

You've got to wonder why you wouldn't stay on and try and qualify for the world cup in 2010....in 2 years time birmingham will still be where they are
