Re: Immigrant Labour ? Attention Warren
No use trying to deflect attention from the issue, Warren - and if there was something wrong in Rod Liddle's report I guess you wouldn't need to. You'd be more than happy to point out the factual errors. Since it seems you can't and don't want to face up to these issues you go out of your way to say they are boring or that anyone who raises these issues is boring.
But it?s not boring to the working folk who this Xmas have had to swallow a 20% cut in their modest wages due to them being undermined and undercut by cheap immigrant labour. And the working people I am talking about are not the BNP affiliated moronic layabouts that you have attempted to portray them as, they are decent people. The respectable working classes, who go to work everyday and don't cause any bollocks in their neighborhood. They are people with academic qualifications and responsible jobs. These are the working people who, through their taxes, pay your public sector, protected pension, wages. They are people I know very well.
I would have thought a 'caring, sharing, person' like yourself would want to show them a little gratitude and understanding, not besmirch their name in this tawdry, arrogant and condensing fashion. But that?s the middle classes all over, isn?t it? They talk a load of progressive cack, they talk about ?the respect agenda?, but in reality, in their hearts, they are as contemptuous of the working classes and their inconvenient small ?c? conservatism as they have ever been.
The biggest con trick the public sector ?socially concerned? middle classes have pulled off is to convince working folk that they are the ones who have their best interests at heart and to get them to acquiesce to taxes on their modest incomes - so that middleclass public sector workers can have excellent salaries, protected pensions, and be virtually unsackable. A comfortable position from which public sector sorts can lord it over working folk, making new laws, taking their money off them and telling them, as is they were backward children, what they can and can?t do with their lives. But let me tell you, Warren, old son. There are murmurings on the street. With all this extra education and the interweb, working folk are waking up to who is really standing in the way of their desires and aspirations. They are beginning to realize they are being shafted and swindled and are casting round for a political party that might deliver them from all this. I fear that by sneering at them and slagging them off you are only confirming their suspicions and speeding this process up.
