Diplodocus,
Thank you for your erudite posting. However if say you invest 10K on a windmill, not withstanding planning permission, and voltaic cells you will recoup your money in less than ten years, become self sufficient in energy and save a fortune. I know people who have done it and I am planning to do it in the future.

Hi Mike

i'm not disputing the fact that for small scale energy usage such as a village then wind power etc can be used. The point i'm making is that for large scale usage such as a major city or industrial user such as a brewery or pharmacuetical plant this is currently not the case, maybe it will in the future but for now nuclear seems our best option

good luck with the project

we are Leeds.... , and we can still beat the mighty Chester

Ever thought of building a thermal oxidation system, Mike?

All the methane you produce could go to something positive. !laugh!

It involves lots of baked bean consumption and dealing with explosive gasses, Mike.

Stick to your windmill!
