I see that Gordy Broon has had his telescope up to his glass eye again, trying to persuade us that there is no financial crisis in the UK.
He had the bankers in for breakie yesterday & in true Gordy fashion, cluncking big fist, told them that they must pass on interest rate cuts to consumers, HBOS said "up yours" & put up mortgage rates today.
Just about every basic commodity is increasing in price & the only people insulated against the effects are fat cat bosses, shareholders & MP's.
I bet Ed (Bollocks) Balls is thinking "so what", me & the missus are doing OK, stuff the rest of you
Poor Gordy has the problem of following that consummate liar, B'Liar, & people don't forget that quickly, as the saying goes "How do you tell when a politician is lying?, their lips are moving"

Are you Dibble in disguise?
This is bollocks- so you think Brown wants to lose the next election then, do you?

The problem is that the alternatives are dreadful also. Time to emmigrate I think ! This is a shithole of a country. But where to go, that is the question ?

Re: Crisis, I see no crisis
Compared to over three million unemployed and inflation at 20% under Thatcher, this is hardly a crisis.
Going back a little further, under Ted Heath there was a 3 day week and blackouts. Go back a little further and under Harold Wilson the government had to go to the IMF for a loan!!!
If people are stupid enough to spend 125% of their annual earnings (and most do by buying new cars, TVs, holidays etc on credit) then they deserve all they get!
