Should it not have come to light sooner? Surely he presented to the company doctor with repetitive strain injuries and a hand like a claw. Wasn't that the giveaway ?

The most amazing thing is that he's not been sacked, merely demoted

I worked with a bloke who got sacked for looking at S&M and Rubber Fetish stuff during work time. He even used to come in on overtime to do it!

I always had one rule, never use the internet at work for anything but work purposes. Anyone who gets caught gets what they deserve.

Only in Japan could they reach such a decision to let him keep his job, probably because those responsible for detecting his behaviour had failed to intercept him for so long ---- BUT wait a minute, it'll probably happen here if some ethnic minority or chavy criminal type gets caught in similar circs, as it would probably impinge on their human rights to have been allowed to access such material :) Not only that we'd probably give them quarter of a million in compensation for the psychological damage inflicted by their negligent employers.
