Whenever I use the keyboard it seems to have a mind of its own, jumping about so that I have a job spelling and have to keep making corrections. It jumps back to a previous line or appears in the middle of a word.
I am using Vista. Has anyone got a clue?

Re: Have I got a virus?
Doubtful its a virus but if you want peace of mind just run an online scanner
bitdefender or nod32-eset will find & remove any for free

Thanks Deuce,
I don't use a mouse on my laptop and scanning does not show any viruses.
It seems a common problem but what's the remedy?
Is anybody out there?
Mike.

try downloading CCCleaner, gets rid of all the junk on your PC or Laptop. Ive used it a number of times and the PC runs so much faster. Highly recommended. www.cccleaner.com.

All the issues seem to point to the area below being the culprit
I found the touchpad sensensitivity settings. Under Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Mouse > Mouse Properties.
Issue discussed here and then some
