the man is pure class.
his dedication, loyalty and professionalism shame that whore ronaldo.
ole won the champions league for us in 1999 and you didn't see him acting like a fucking twat and insulting the very club that gave him such opportunities.

Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
I agree, you won't see many like him again. He was a player who was motivated by a love of the game and loyalty to his club, alien concepts to tools like Ronaldo and virtually ever other player these days.
Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The scandinavian culture isn't a 'me' culture or about 'sticking out' and drawing attention to oneself. This is a major reason why they're among the best value imports in terms of the premier league. They may not be the star or flair players but you can't fault their attitude and team ethic.
Take Mjellberg for example .. he signed his pre-contract with Juve in January but his attitude, commitment and professionalism was such that he turned in quality performances for the remainder of the season. Do you think someone like Drogba would have been that unaffected and unselfconscious in the same situation ?

Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
I think you are right about the Scandis. I read an interview once with Ole where he said he had been offered transfers which would have made him more money, but his attitude was that he was happy where he was, and he was already well paid, so what difference would the money make? Try telling that to some of the bell ends playing in the Prem these days.
Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Man United do seem to breed players who show loyality. You've only got to look at Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs to name but a few. Others were loyal too, but went without necessary asking for a transfer or making it blatantly obvious that they wanted to play for Real Barcelona. Fergie has got rid of a lot of players who would have probably been happy to stay at Old Trafford for all their careers if they had the choice.
Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
>Take Mellberg for example
At Mellbergs last appearance for Villa last season he bought over 3,000 Villa shirts, with Mellberg on the back (out of his own money).
He then gave one to each supporter who attended Villa's last match away to West Ham.
Contrast it to that twat Joey Barton.

Re: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Never forget quiz fiends, Mellberg was the first player to score at the Emirates stadium in a competitive game.
