If you drink Wine? , help on taste please.

Post by Fan of Nudes »

Hi All

I asking about Dry White wine. I sometimes drink a bottle of Red,
So , I 'm after a wine that tastes of wine, and not "Oak cask" as I don't smoke and never enjoyed the flavour, or it seem that other whites have hint of mellon, lemon, and other fruit?

I know that Italian Wine is Very Dry , that is too dry for me.

Any advice , oh not to expensive bottle of wine please .

thanks

Any German Reisling tends to sway towards dry, if you want to splash the cash, try Chablis, its a crsip dry

The West London of my youth is now on dvd

Meursault, butter and hazelnuts and is a quality wine if you go for Premier Cru expect to pay ?20 a bottle, the Grander Cru is more expensive cira ?150 and upwards but it is a fabulous wine.

Also try Pouilly Fume for smoky gunpowder, Pouilly Fuisse for walnut and almond, Chablis for gooseberry.

Enjoy the wine hunt PT.

Good Selection.
Thanks All.

Simply If the plans happen, The company I will have in September like Dry White.
Trying to be a good host , and not a "Del Boy" I used to know a little about wine, though as I no longer drink . Lost all interest in the subject.

Make sure you stick the wine(if dry White) in the fridge for a few hours.Try a nice Chablis or Chardonnay.Your date will be gagging to get you upstairs or on the settee !wink!

Unchilled white wine tastes horrible.
