Web browsers , for novices : please

Only ever used ie on a windows pc , but on mobile phones used opera and ie and have to say ie is a lot more stable and faster than opera , on both symbian and windows based phones . So that's not the case on a pc then ? JJ .

been using the latest version of firefox for a few days now.
am finding it very good.

No, on pcs opera is faster, generally.
