You don't treat people like that. Age or status isn't an issue but Sachs is a 78 year old actor, he's not General Pinochet.

Brand and Ross should be made to go and do some work shadowing at Childline or a similar helpline and that might help them to contextualise just how truly unfunny and abhorrent their 'prank' was.

It's worth remembering that wanker A is desperate for wanker B's supposedly hip status, whereas wanker B desperately wants wanker A's high-ranking media position.

Them producing a truly appaling display of thoughtless egoism and cruelty shouldn't really surprise. Doubtless apologies will flow, but you do suspect they (wankers A&B, and the BBC) are privately pleased with the furore.

Without question, both Ross and Brand should be sacked for their gross bad taste.

It wasn't humor, it was offensive to a highly respectable actor. They're not fit to clean Andrew Sach's shoes.

I do hope both Sach's and his granddaughter takes these unfunny morons to the cleaners, and sue both of them.

And as for the BBC appologising for them, they should be ashamed of themselves. Why didn't they just terminate both contracts on the spot?

It?s seldom I listen to Ross and never listen to Brand, mainly because he comes over as a twat - but I don't think they did much wrong, it was just a joke. Maybe Ross & Brand know something about Sach's granddaughter - maybe she is a slut, who knows? Anyway, Sachs himself thought it was ok to be totally racist to little Spanish waiters for a good portion of his career, maybe he should be retrospectively hauled over the coals himself. It?ll be a turn-up for the books if it turns out the granddaughter has posed for topless pics.
