Only Follies scene I remember as a kid was Beth Porter's monster pair of tits emerging out of a foamy bubble bath...traumatised me for weeks that did! !shocked!

I enjoyed it at the time but imagine it will look pretty dated now so I
won't be tempted to buy the dvd - and yes they were a big pair of tits

The programme was fairly ground breaking at the time and continued a trend in Thames TV for harder edged commercial drama like the Sweeney and Minder. I did legal work for Thames at the time and amongst media Lawyers and producers the programme serves as a stark reminder that whilst you can't pick up rights on the back of a fag packet you have to be very careful about pinching other peoples formats. The disputes about the Ownership of the rights went to a lengthy trial and is still often referred to today by lawyers in disputes about film ownership. The judgement should be required reading for all producers!!

I can't recall it having much musical significance but it certainly launched good careers for Rula Lenska and Julie Covington and will put it on my christmas list if only to hear Thames' famous bongs again.
