Playboy mag has been going downhill for years, youngsters are not interested and the internet has done for playboy mag the same it has done for other glamour mags, sells of mags have been declining for the last ten years and now because of the recession so has their revenue from adverts, all media are now feeling the pinch from the loss of ad revenue so you can expect cutbacks everywhere !sad!

I prefer to think that this is a period of transition in the way that people buy their porn has changed dramatically due to the internets progress over the last few years and now the economy has had a massive impact on it.

The industry has to adapt to this change or suffer the consequences.

Good job Hugh had invested his millions into tv and production then. He will never be potless. So the magazine goes, in truth, he had a damn good run of 50 years.

Magazines and dvds are the new currency to getting new customers. Give em away for free as part of your advertising and if they like your stuff it could translate to sales on the internet.

Its all about the internet now.

Playboy now seem to be more associated with downmarket tat for young girls - you see the logo all over the place. Even the local Pound Shop had Playboy stuff in recently, that's how low they've sunk. They may have been pioneers of sanitised, Americanised, plastic porn - but people don't want that rubbish these days because it's shite. Who wants to watch some bint in a bubble bath, swinging on a rope, washing a car or running through a cornfield - whilst claiming she wants to save the world and help the children. It's still like some 1970's throwback.

Hey Johnny the people that like to see all that stuff you describe consider it cool, safe and cheeky rather than seeing that same said girl in the bubble gum popping coffee table tome taking a fat one up the khyber pass.

In other words some people prefer soft.

Not much these days by the looks of things.
