Man gunned down outside a London prison...

Of all the places to carry out a professional hit, this seems like a strange one! This guy was visiting an inmate in Wandsworth Prison in South London this afternoon, he hadn't been an inmate there himself, and was leaving the prison to go home, when two men appeared and shot him at least 4 times before running off. The man died as a result. Isn't that the strangest location to carry out an gangland slaying? They could have done him in his home, instead they wait till he visits someone in a jail, then gun him down as he leaves. Strange! CCTV and prison officers around the place. A very odd place to do it!!

I suppose it's a specific place he has to be at a specific time, visiting someone in the nick, which makes it easy to find someone who may be on the run, in hiding, or generally making himself difficult to be found.

I'm sure it wont be long till these guys are caught, there is (like I mentioned) bound to be CCTV all over the place.

He must have been 'at it'. Maybe it was a none too subtle message to the guy on the inside ?

CCTV? Big fucking deal. This was clearly a planned hit, I think the hitman may have invested in a baseball cap and a scarf.

I think they are holding two men for it. I saw something on the news about it this morning. So it wasnt a very good location for a hit - they were able to recognise the doods involved, from CCTV or whatever, then go and nick them. Most criminals arent very bright it has to be said!

I read in the paper today that a gangland hit occured yesterday in Fulham, south-west London, where a man was shot dead in a back street. The article claimed it was revenge for the killing of this guy outside Wandsworth prison. So there is now a tit-for-tat thing going on. Hopefully it will continue and all of London's underworld will eventually take each other out!
