I agree. There are also some people who take what they have for granted and find it easier and safer to criticise their home nation. Sometimes they have a point, sometimes they don't; sometimes that criticism is warranted, sometimes exaggerated (and this includes the criticism of other nations/cultures).
I just like reasonableness and consistency, and if that leads us closer to truth then that's a bonus.
