Sony Vegas 9 Pro Capture - Clip Length

Capturing HD video using Vegas 9.0 pro - programme captures as "m2t" - but splits the clips. I am trying to capture as one continuous clip.

I think I have addressed the obvious - ie I have disabled the hdv "scene detection" expanded the buffer and done everything which looks as if it might split the clips - but still to no avail.

I know that there is a maximum file length on FAT32 formatted disks- but I am using NTFS

Any of you helpful, knowledgeable chaps any ideas ? Or perhaps a different capture programme which would not split....
