Being recognised ...

Hi all... Are there any guys or girls from either side of the camera that frequent here who get recognised,porn wise, when out and about? And if so, is it generally flattering,sometimes abusive,ever awkward? ... I seem to get all 3 and wonder how you deal with it (other than smiling nicely) ....

I've been recognised a few times................by my mother! No, actually I get recognised when I'm abroad as Jim Slip all the time. Over here I get, "You're that guy off the telly aren't you, you know the bloke wot digs holes for coins and stuff with all those smelly looking bearded blokes?"

Lara gets recognised all the time.

Neither of us has received any nastiness............yet!

Back in the day many moons ago when I was slim and had hair I was stopped in a shop by a little girl and asked for my autograph. Obviously being completely stunned I asked her who I was - "Your Sting" she said much to my relief so I signed her little pad and she went back to her dad. Im in a shop full of people and some firemen came in for drinks etc...after much whispering and furtive pointing over the shoulder type stuff,the bravest comes over to and enquires,sheepishly " Er,excuse me..have i seen you on the telly? " I know what he means but decide to play dumb (easy for me,as little acting required) Sarah ,innocently and sweetly " how do you mean? " Fireman " Er,on the Tv...you know...Sky..." Sarah " I dont have Sky .. what Channel? " Fireman ,leaning in,whispering " Er...The Chat lines? " Sarah ,loudly " Chat lines?.... Fireman,reddening,gazes to floor,shifts feet uncomfortably,aware people are now listening.... Sarah ,leaning in so i can whisper " Do You mean the Wank Channels " ....... Exit Fireman,unmercilessly being ribed by mates ....... I should point out that No Firemen were harmed in the sharing of this post - I know the guys he was in with and I suspect they may well be watching Sky Channel 954 Tonight !happy!

Why is it ALWAYS firemen who seem to be up to speed on the 'ol porno caper, don't they have a job to do, like putting out fires?? Seems to me is all they do is watch PORNO FILTH I mean no one ever gets recognised by a traffic warden or an undertaker or a lollipop man or a chimney sweep, no it's always a fireman who's gonna rumble ya!wink!

It was always london tube staff that recognised me!

It tended to happen the most when i was working on babestation/babecast etc...and usually the day after when i was knackered n wearing no make up :-s

But usually it was smile sweetly, thank them, answer some questions, tell them im in a rush and direct them to my website.

Although i did have my old bin man recognise me. I was always the one who forgot to put the bins out so would be running out in my pyjamas while the bin men are loading up the truck and i had one of them pull the 'i recognise you from somewhere' line. I think i replied with 'oh really' and ran back in my house. At this time my son was only a few wks old and i really was not interested in standing there looking all fat n haggard chatting about my porn career!

Never have i had any nastiness from random people, plenty from aquaintances and people i knew from my clubbing when i first started. I got absolutely ripped to pieces on the old forums i used to go on. But ho hum, in the words of Catherine Tate - 'Am i bovvered?' lol

Doesnt really happen much at all nowadays. Ill occasionally get a few days where i get 'the looks', you know the ones and i find its usually when iv had some scenes re-run on tv-x, tac etc. I tend not to get apprached nowadays though because im usually getting stressed out about my 3 yr old running all over the place rather than looking demure with my head phones in, reading More magazine like the old days lol!

It can be flattering & awkward sometimes depending on where you are recognised, if i am in the supermarket with my gran kids it can be awkward & other times it can be fun.
For instance this weekend i was recognised 5 times at the Butlins 60's big weekender at bognor & one of them a fireman lol! who is also a stud on this forum who happened to be there with loads of other fireman mates.
I always like to be friendly, down to earth which seems to work, one of the best perks is that i never have to pay to go in swingers clubs & get many free memberships to online swingers & amateur sites.

Mostly nice encounters. Most memorable was a pretty blonde at the check out in Sainsburys running up to me saying: "Your a cameraman arent you?" from seeing me on British Sex versus Porn

My fitness trainer gets bombarded with text messages like: "You know what that bloke you train does?"

Only hairiest moment was a bunch of hoodies eyeing me up when I was with a pretty girl then saying "I seen you on the telly"
