They were indeed. I saw them live several times in the late '70s / early '80s.

They're still going as well, having reformed a few years back with a couple of former members.

But from what I hear they only play the old material, and anyway without the Wild One they can't be anything more than a tribute/nostalgia act now.

I recall Phil Lynott was married to Caroline Crowther who was Leslie (the price is right) Crowther's daughter.

Caroline did a spread in Mayfair where she showed off one of the hairest pussys I've ever seen.

Lovely. I can see why he married her!

Certainly was lovely and hairy where it matters.

Well the 2005 'One Night in Dublin' Lynott tribute concert organised by Gary Moore sure had plenty of fire in its belly! Although the way Robbo & Scott Gorham only took the stage to play separate numbers makes one wonder if there might be a long-running spat at play...

simply incredible combo, I have every album on vinyl somewhere, my sister was a tape op at Good Earth for Tony visconti and I had the unbelievable good fortune to meet Lynott at a Christmas party there in 1980, it was during the recording of his "solo in soho" album and we were all treated to a playback of the tracks, he was a true larger than life character and chatting to him and Jeff Beck at that party is something I shall never forget.
