Is this a prophesy of a Tory Christmas 2010?

Post by jimslip »

Was Dickens l our very own Nostradamus? Was he a sage, that knew his onions? In his masterpiece a Christmas Carol, was he not predicting life under the Tories in 2010? Is not Scrooge himself, the very embodiment of the Tories?

Watch and be warned! Welcome to a very Tory Christmas!

By the way, in case you have forgotten, this was life under New Labour!:

But don't forget Scrooge had his Damascene conversion, mended his ways, became a better man and a friend to the poor. Can we expect the same of the Tories on Christmas night?

As I recall after his Damascene conversion, Alastair Sim (George Osborne) metamorphosed into Ed Milliband who ran about giving wonderful presents to his new born baby, poor children everywhere and made the lives of the disabled so much better.

Cleggie was arrested for anti-democratic behaviour and was exiled to China where he joined the government stating "I am a revolutionary but a pragmatic revolutionary. Where do I fill in my unreceipted expenses?"

We all lived happily ever after.

One of the most prescient films I have ever seen and worked as a political parable on every level.

Cheers

Maybe because Michael Foot was an UTTER cunt, and tainted the term 'Left wing' forever. My God,how could any one praise a man who did not have the balls to kick fuck into some one he knew had raped his own wife!! Let alone vote for the crazed old fucker.

At the time of his death,I was not posting here. But I did read several post's saying 'RIP a great man' Had always wondered what this 'great man' guff was actually based on. Slightly before my time, but did he not (almost) single handedly destroy the credibility of the Labour Party? Whilst leading them to their greatest defeat ever? Not to mention planning on selling us out to the Russians, whilst (allegedly) being on the KGB payroll.

Given the current atmosphere between the East and West(once again). And that repeated attempts to create Socialist and Communist utopia's have failed(not only in this country, but pretty much world wide) costing millions of innocent lives and hundred's of billion's in what ever currency you care to count in. Is it really any wonder that the press has it in for Milliband?

For all Tony Blairs faults,he knew that the future of labour was to try and move away from old dinosaurs like Foot and leave them well in the last century. Embrace commerce, whilst throwing a bone here and there to the lowest common denominator's of society, might well have been 'New labours' election slogan. By electing Milliband the party has taken a massive step backwards...imho

Any hoooooo, thats my tuppence on the subject. Must stop checking in here when pissed up.
