Can't believe it is 30 years ago that Charles and Diana tied the knot. I was only a kid but I remember what I was doing that week. Doesn't seem like three decades ago, does it?

I remember the huge deal that it was, street parties in London, people having garden parties, the whole of central London closed down so that Diana could make her journey across town to St Pauls. I remember American news networks paying serious money for vantage points around St Pauls so they could film her arriving.

Thank you for the reminder Max....I remember the night before the wedding very well...London was ablaze with excitement and there was a
huge firework display in Hyde Park (the wind was in the wrong direction and
it went off badly).
I had decided to take a new model, an American girl who was in London for a month or so, out to dinner in a fashionable restaurant just north of the park. We got rather drunk...and horny....then discovered that the upper floor of the restaurant was not used at night....so we nipped up there, and
