Ok well maybe I wasn't but seeing as people in America seem to mistake me as being from Scotland and Australia what difference does it make ? !!!
So ... Ive just got back from the Tampa show and what a great time it was.
I had such a blast and met so many great people, just shame it came to a close so soon.
As well as appearing in numerous sex shops as well as on air, I also made some great contacts and moves towards my feature dancing which is definitely something I wish to get into over here.
Shame there is not more opportunity for it in the UK but saying that, if anyone has any offers be sure to let me know
The awards show was incredible. Bigger and better then ever before and I just loved getting up on stage and doing it big styli for the Brits...
The pool partys were great,one every god damn night, as was the private swinging party that took place in Ron Jeremy's room.
His cock is a lot bigger then I seem to remember it being !!!

Feature dancing sounds great - I believe the 'Miss Nude International' organisation owns or has links to feature show clubs all over the world and pay their "top" dancers to travel internationally - tough life, eh? In the UK it would never happen because UK folk are too tight with their wallets, but in the US, land of the 'free', what's stopping you? Go for it! But don't forget us little old BGAFD folk

The problem in the UK is that the mentality isn't properly geared up for clubs having "featured dancers".

The adult industry in the UK isn't as "slick" and well marketed as in the US, (and, let's face it, has only recently become "legal" at the h/c end) so consequently if a club such as Spearmint Rhino had Layla-Jade appearing, many of the guys wouldn't know who she was, and if she was promoted as one of the country's top adult stars, the local residents etc., would have even more ammunition with which to arm themselves to use against the renewal of the licence, on the basis that they believe prostitution is going on there, and if a porn star is working there then OBVIOUSLY that just proves their point!

There are various dance troupes that feature "page 3" girls, who are a little better known to the general public than say Lay or Cathy or indeed many of the girls featured on this site. As an example, Louise Hodges is better known to most blokes as a "Page 3" model than as someone who did h/c videos INSPITE of JS's rag using the "pornstar" subriquet for almost any model who appears in their pages.

Those girls that have appeared at my shows carrying photos and calendars to sign and sell have never really made much money from that avenue, and although there are no doubt some takers for personalised photos and signed posters/calendars, the market (and marketing of such) is not the same as in the US.

Nor can I see clubs such as Spearmint Rhino, Metropolis, Secrets etc PAYING a girl to work there, however famous she may be! Sammy Jessop sometimes works at Metropolis, but the deal there is that she doesn't pay a house fee, turns up when she wants, leaves when she wants and Metro use her name and image on their promotional cards, web site, etc.

When I talk to Layla it is very clear that if I want to have any sort if success in porn I need to get to the States.
Its such a shame though cos there are millions of people in Britain but very few of them seem to have the will to get of there arses and change things.You hear the same old things over & over again.

Having said that no matter how many people say its the industries fault it all boils down to social attitudes.
I don't know a single guy (or girl) that haven't seen at least one porn film but most would never buy one let alone go to a sex shop to get it! Try getting guys to see dancers as anything other than whores, we know we're not & you know we're not but to most people porn chicks & dancers arn't the sort of girl you want your son to marry!

Lets face it sex is seen as dirty & wrong in the UK & the people that make there living from it are seen as perverts & social lepers. It will take a long time for the UK porn industry to get any where near that of the US, if it ever does.
I for one am not going to sit around on my arse waiting for things to change around me.

It would be good to get all the people in the buisness fighting the same battle & then mayby we can make it a better place for both the performers & producers to work.

Its a great life we lead we just need to make it greater!!
