R.I.P. Birger Stromsheim

Post by frankthring »

One of the last truly great heroes of World War II has died - Birger Stromsheim, the bravest of those incredible "heroes of Telemark" who did
what is accepted by all historians as the greatest act of sabotage in that war -
the destruction of the heavy water facilties in Norway, thus preventing the
Nazis from making the atomic bomb.
Ski-ing for 5 days across mountains under awful winter conditions, then
somehow climbing down a massive sheer rock face, getting into one of the most heavily guarded facilities in the German Reich, laying their fuses, blowing up the place and getting out before the Germans realised the awfulness of what had happened.
Had the Nazis got the "A" Bomb then I suspect you guys shooting porn
would not be living in the world we inhabit today. Thanks Birger. R.I.P.
