O/T AOL blocks E-mails?

Post by Ken Shabby »

I read somewhere that AOL blocks E-mails from adult sites/online stores to it's subscribers. Does anyone know if that's true? (If it is it'd certainly explain a lot. (For me, anyway!))

Given the 10 odd shitty porn spams I get a day, no it isn't. Go to your e-mail/adult/security preferences (one or the other) - there are about 30 phrases that it filters out as standard - all the $$$$EARN MILLIONS$$$$ and FREE SEX PASSWORDS!!!! type shit - you can change these phrases at will, or not filter at all, but personally I think it's fucking great they filter out so much shit. Porn spam is the worst form of garbage - I'd rather have a postbox stuffed full of Reader's Digest prize draws.

Yup. I get a tiny, tiny amount of porn spam, usually less than one per two days, which I reckon is incredibly efficient, and I've had no problems with emails to/from adult sites. I'm not a huge fan of the US, or it's railroading through other cultures with their own, but I have to admit that they have got it right here.
