I wonder if it would be worthwhile to have an extra column that showed how many people had read each thread.
This feature is available on many Forum's out there.
The reason I mention this is that sometimes you post something on the Forum and when you look at it several days later you have absolutely no idea how effective your post was, especially if nobody has replied.
This was highlighted to me when I posted on 31 December about the recent death of pornstar Sheridan (who is on the database) and nobody responded.
What does anyone else think?

Re: Forum Suggestion
Nice to know, but I think it is more interesting if you could modify your own
post after that it was posted.

post after that it was posted.

Re: Forum Suggestion
I think your suggestion has considerable merit, John. I am often mystified in the way some posts I would expect to get a good reply do not, and others do. Perhaps the way some posts are titled is the problem, rather than the post themselves.
Re: Forum Suggestion
T C mentions editing of posts by the poster
DavidS mentions that perhaps the title of a post is the problem
In other forums I have re-titled one or two of my posts in the past as they were not getting many readers, after which they got many more readers.
So both features would be useful:
The knowledge of the number of readers of each post
The ability to edit your own posts
