Re: Alias 'Miss Pomodoro'
It's explained in a message posted on Aug 4, 2006 in this italian forum:
Sapete perch? Schicchi l'aveva chiamata Miss Pomodoro.
Era molto timida e per questo, arrossendo diventava rossa come un pomodoro.Bad Samaritan wrote:

Re: Alias 'Miss Pomodoro'
I found it interesting because in Turkish slang, an approximate equivalent of 'Miss Pomodoro' is used for a girl who is ugly and yet pretends to be very beautiful.
Thanks for the info.

Re: Alias 'Miss Pomodoro'
Without a translation that's meaningless to me.
I'd always assumed it was because of her fondness for tomato-
shaped hair-grips.

Google language tools (tidied up):
"Schicchi called her Miss Pomodoro because she was very shy and, therefore, blushed as red as a tomato."

Thankyou.
I always get the giggles when I use an online translator.
'The postilion has been struck by lightning', and all that : -)
