NEW BOOK ON ITALIAN XXX CINEMA

In March 2014 a new book on the ?first golden age? of Italian pornographic cinema will be released: LUCE ROSSA. LA NASCITA E LE PRIME FASI DEL CINEMA PORNOGRAFICO IN ITALIA [?RED LIGHT. THE BIRTH AND FIRST STAGES OF XXX CINEMA IN ITALY?], signed by Franco Grattarola and Andrea Napoli. About 500 pages. Italian text only, but the second part of the book includes a dictionary (more than 200 pages) dedicated to every hardcore film produced or coproduced by Italy from the late 70s to mid 80s.

The book consists of two parts. The first one outlines a history of the birth and first stages of ?X cinema? in Italy, including chapters on the main directors, actors and actressess. The second part consists of entries dedicated to the hardcore movies produced or coproduced by Italy during the years 1979-1984 (the so-called ?first golden age? of Italian adult cinema). Each entry includes detailed casts, credits, data concerning the censor?s board, synopses, contemporary reviews, infos on production background, different versions, video releases, etc. An appendix lists almost 1000 foreign films theatrically released in Italy during the years 1977-1984 with Italian titles, original titles, real directors, date of Italian visa, and date of the first release in the city of Milan.
