Yes the wonderful thing about the web and 'net, is that new people join and discover all the time...I think that can be a problem for the more old skool members of groups such as this.
The humour and anger that appears, such as when people say, has so and so done h/c, or posting without o/t etc has become quite familiar even to me now, who has been loitering here for some six months or so....
The point you make about lack of postings did make me stop and think. The last time i posted here, I was chided and pidgeon holed by Magoo, who to give him his due, did take the time to apologise to me, when he re-read what i had said. Perhaps this could be the problem. Too many group members sit in their ivory towers, with their Oracle (not the database language!) of knowledge of the 'industry', and like to mock the innocent punter. That causes the group to stay small, and dis-courage discussion. I think that there are quite a number of readers of this fine forum, but only say, 20 people or so post regularly. Me. I never have that much to say, just posting this original discussion for a giggle...perhaps some of the group members need to remember what that is, not post such inane posts and replies, 'disguised' as humour.
If that is how Carl usually replies, then fair enough to him, and let him reply like that....i did not take offence from it, likely that none was intended. The concealing of your own identity on the 'net can provide people to generate their wish-they-had persona that they could never have in real-life, and Carl, i am not suggesting that you, or anyone here does that, i am saying that we have the ability to do so...me included.
As for not knowing some of the 'celebs' you mention, don't worry, they are not worth that much anyway. Strange that we know most of the famous Aussies though....
Finally....for the record. I did say that it LOOKED like Jordan, not that IT WAS Jordan....

Perhaps i will never post here again. I just hope that the regulars here can take some of my points on board and have some more sympathy for newbies, and realise that there brand of humour, may not necessarily be everyones cup of tea. I will not be surprised should they not, but I can but hope can i not?
