HELP!!!!
Does anyone know where I stand if someone is nicking my web content for there site?
The sets in question were done on a tfp basis. photographer gets pics for his/her site and i get copies for mine. Obviously I realise that the copyright remains with the photographer at all times but these images were licensed to me for use on my site or elsewhere with my permission. I dont wanna look bad for breaking this agreement just cos someone nicked the images off my site.
Obviously in an ideal world i could go round and twat the bastard - I know who it is u see - but justice says blah blah blah!!!
Any advice!
does anyone know...???

attn sandie:you obviously have proof so why dont you send the boys round to have a word with them?
Re: does anyone know...???
Email the webmaster and inform them that they don't have copyright or release forms to use those images and that they must be removed at once. If that fails, email their ISP/server host and tell them. Usually does the trick.
Re: does anyone know...???
I would suggest a polite email to them saying they are breaking copyright on the images and ask them to either remove the pics or (if you wanted) pay a suitable amount for a licence for the images.
If that gets no response I would then follow up a week later with a stronger email threatening legal action.
After that I guess your course of action depends on how deep your pockets are as I am sure instigating legal action would cost quite a bit of time and money.
But my guess is that they would remove them after the first email.
Best of luck

PS Hope you enjoyed the holiday (if you are that Sandie!!)

The threat of the ISP usually leaves them walking funny and emitting squelchy noises from the underpants area - go get them pirates lass!
