I'm going by the artwork, which has the word 'Inzest' at the top, and
'verbot' at the bottom, under the other text. To me, there is no firm indication
how this should be read. And what about the text right at the top? Why ignore
that but include the 'Schwester' stuff? If two German-based sites can't agree
on what words should be used, and in what order they should be placed, then
I'm going to do as I see fit : -)

Which it isn't; a colon denotes the start of a new clause, or a list [say, of
actors]. In English, following a colon [:] it's normal to use lower-case [or
if it's a list of proper nouns, then a capital is of course used].

That's no problem. Every so often the question of spect ratios has to be revisited.

The above maths is not wrong, but the correction procedure doesn't need to be so elaborate.

If we agree that the original aspect ratio should have been 14:9, as worked out above, then we can work out by how much each cap needs to be widened to make it correct, regardless of cropping.

Using the whole screen cap, the actual height was 655. The corresponding width therefore should have been 655/9 ? 14 = 1019 (rounded to the nearest whole number). The actual width was 867. The width of each cap should therefore be increased by mulitplying it by 1019/867 = 1.175, that is increased by 17.5%.

I have replaced all the unknown caps with caps whose width has been multiplied by 1.175 (not forgetting to unrotate the rotated cap first then rerotate it or increase the height by 17.5% in this case).

Do they look better?

There's very little difference between 16:10 and 14:9. Maybe 16:10 is slightly better, but only very slightly.

I'll let jj decide whether he wants new caps of the other girls. We tend to have division of labour and I concentrate of Classic titles and have overall supervision of the unknowns.

It is possible to play video on Irfanview, but not very well and I never use it for that.

I use an old version of Cyberlink Power DVD to do captures, but many use VLC equally effectively.

If I want to correct the aspect ratio of an entire video I use AVS Video Converter (not free, but reasonably priced). This is only really necessary before burning a video to disc though because if you watch everything on your computer using VLC, you can adjust the aspect ratio as you watch.

Well, that's too sweeping. A few 'average' quality caps of an XNK would be
acceptable, as long as most of the other cast are already listed. If a film
consists almost entirely of XNKs and the caps are likely to be poor, then
yes, I'd leave it.

I did have to go back and change the spelling on all the picture-captions.
But that's better than having to resize pics, at which - as you can see- I'm
pretty hopless.
