Newbie questions for models and producers

Some of these questions may seem a little slightly unimportant and silly, but I'll ask anyway eh

# When booking a model through an agency, if you know you will book that model again sometime do you ask her for her personal contact details for future reference or still go via the agency?

# Do models expect to be paid before the shoot or afterwards?

# Toys, when girls shows up on set, do they usually insist all sex toys used are brand new?

# Are up to date HIV/STD certs required when shooting hard g/g?

# If a shoot is to feature anal, who brings the (cough) 'prep', the girl or the producer?

# If you're a model who's agreed to work with a producer, and you're not familar with this person or heard of him/her before. What steps do you take to ensure you're safe when you meet? chaperone? neutral place? etc etc. And what advice would you give to any body who wishes to book a model(s) for the first time? apart from providing as much detail as possible ofcourse about the shoot and the company.

# Regarding 'travel expenses', what would deem to be resonable travel expenses? for example. If you've agreed to do a girl/girl shoot in London for ?300 and you live in Nottingham. Would you expect the producer to cover your train and taxi costs both to and from the shoot? or how much would you expect to pay?

# If you turn up to a shoot and find out that the other performer you were supposed to be working with hasn't shown up, meaning the shoot can't take place. How much of your agreed fee do you expect to be paid?

Depends on the model and agent...I wouldnt mind it but it might piss the agency off if they found out.

I usually get paid after the shoot...Some models ask for fee up front.

I take my own toys, all models should have a good selection. However, if you have a particular toy then just make sure its cleaned well and sterilised between girls.

Yes

The girl should prep for anal before the shoot and bring lube, however, i often forget or run out so its good that some producers have some handy...Baby wipes too!

Landline telephone number, address, full name all of these details can be checked out to confirm they are true. I can generally tell in the first few emails/telephone calls whether an enquiry is genuine. Most models have aa sixth sense about stuff like this. Others will ask to bring a chaperone etc, it depends on the model

Yes, always let the model know exactly what shes expected to do. Theres nothing worse than turning up to a shoot to find its beyond your limits.

I have a young persons railcard which gets me a third off all rail so train fare never usually comes to more than about 35, its only about 40 odd to get from London to Newcastle! I tend to find that most pro producers pay all expenses as i do everything i can to keep them as low as possible, however, there are some who dont pay any at all.

Id find a performer who could do the shoot. Walpole are good for this, getting last minute replacements.

Best way on this one is to say you'll pay *reasonable* travel expenses, upto the cost of a standard chaep rate rail ticket. That way, should she decide to drive from London to Newcastle in a Hummer, you won't be stung for it.

Of course, if you arrangements mean she has to travel outside of the cheap rail ticket times, just pay it.

Good advice Peter....I know of some models who have had to pay 100 for a train ticket to get to a shoot at 10am and have had problems getting their expenses paid. Not good when the shoot is going to take 4 hours and is a 250 fee!

Any producer who wants to keep a good rep will pay ALL of the fee. After all the model has spent the time and can't get another shoot. It's not their problem that someone else messed up.

If you find yourself down a model, ask the models if they can suggest anyone. Most will know one or two possibles, and if they are free, and not too far away, a shoot can be saved.

And Likewise, I've had many a girl who couldn't be bothered to make the effort of buying a ticket in advance, but just turned up at the station to buy minutes before departure, then expect me to pay the ?95 it cost rather than the ?38 I was expecting.

Thats a good point Peter, however, i myself try not to book tickets too far in advance incase the photographer/producer cancels the shoot. Its catch 22!
