the clinical answer is that an average dance track tempos at 120-130bpm which as if by magic just happens to be an average heart beat. so if you look at hollywood and the movies they create that requires mood participation such as matrix etc you'll not a dance based music score sitting nicely underneath helping to get the blood pumping without the average viewer being aware its in time with their heart rate, a big plus. so when making a porn film that requires plenty of mood participation having a tune by des o'conner with max bygraves on lead guitar may not be the best mood enhancing musak. but then again whatever blows your frock up
