Do you charge per hour, per scene or per day?

I have a day rate but will also do an hourly rate - minimun of two hours for solo work - but a few performers have told me that they only charge per scene.

Do you think it is wise to charge per scene to prevent producers taking the piss or does it deter people from booking?

I tend to charge per shoot... a shoot averaging 3-4 hours, end result tending to be about 5-6 photo sets and one or two short videos. Bearing in mind though, I only do solo and girl girl so it's all pretty straightforward, guess it might be different if I did boy girl.

This seems to me, to be a good way for most togs to get the content they require and keeps prices simple - ?150 for a solo shoot, ?200 for girl girl.
