Questions about production

Hi Guys/Gals

I'm new to this industry and have a few Q's:

- How much does it cost roughly to shoot a typical amateur vid say 1hr long with two girls and two guys?
- How much is each model paid (very roughly)
- How much is the end-result worth and how is it marketed and through which channels?
- What can producers do to combat illegal copying?
- How much stick do producers get from the law?
- Is VOD and pay per view set to take over from the DVD market?

if this info is in a book or website anywhere please could you refer me to it?

Two girls at 300 - 350 plus agency fee (if you want good reliability) of say 50quid.

(You might girls for 250 direct, but it's better not to cheapskate if you want to be taken seriously).

Guys - 150-300 plus agency.

Location - free to 300 quid, travel, rail fares for all involved.

Marketing - ah well, that's for new producers to find out Hint - you won't be taken seriously until you have shot a library of stuff , not just one scene.

Piracy - most just live with it. Part of life.

Law - do everything right, no stick at all. (Closed indoors sets with consenting adults).

VOD vs DVDs - yes, eventually.
