a heartfelt bgafd thank you to wendy...

Post by woodgnome »

for putting on such a splendid do! in my opinion 'bgafd 2' was a definite improvement on the previous one. hopefully, given enough positive feedback, wendy will be up for organising 'bgafd 3' once the evenings are long again. whether she does or not though, alec, phil and myself are only too happy to acknowledge our debt to her, for putting so much time and effort into making sure that what took place was a credit to the name of bgafd. of course, the real credit is hers and hers alone - wendy, you are simply the best!

many, many thanx to the girls who attended - you were all an absolute knock-out; and full props to the guys - producers and forumites alike - for turning out and make it such a happening thing...

finally, i would like to pay special tribute to a chick called rebekah jordan, who put on a performance above and beyond the call of booty, er, duty... especially, when you consider that she spent new years day in A&E after body-surfing down a flight of stairs and on top of that, had to contend with the worlds most incompetent dj! nevertheless, becs did the bizniz and showed herself to be a true professional!

Hear, hear - and it should not be forgotten that as well as giving all those of us who attended a great time - and I know that organising such an event takes much time and effort - the girls ensured a substantial benefit for charity. Roll on BGAFD 3,4, 5......

I can only echo these comments.

I must say that both Sarah Beattie and Bev Cocks look absolutely stunning up close........mind you all the girls did !!!

WOW, what an event !!

Hat's off to everyone, but hats on to the DJ during Rebekah's show......but what a show, just wish I'd been drinking Smirnoff Ice then maybe I could have treasured that bottle !

Thanks Wendy in particular, it was good to meet up again eventually,

i can only support what others have said before me, great thanks to Wendy for all her hard work and Sarah for finding a location at the last minute, even if it was on her doorstep. The pictures I took will be posted on a site asap.

Absolutely!! Well done, Wendy - and also thanks to Sara for finding a great venue at short notice, thus saving the whole evening.

Rebekah's dancing was great - I don't think I need say any more about the music side, though! - and I understand we raised over ?400 for Breast Cancer from the knicker auction. That was a great idea (take a bow, Sandie), and well done to all the girls who participated.

It was a great evening, and I can't wait for BGAFD 3!

There is rarely enough kudos given to those who organise events for others' benefit, so can I add to the praise for Wendy.

Annie, Lorraine and I had an excellent time :)

Just want to add my sentiments to the above posts. A GREAT time was had by all, and it was good to meet up and put faces to the names from here. A 'nod and a wink' to Shaun, James, Bob, Bayleaf, John Mason, Marcus (who DIDN'T buy me a drink back), Richy, Terry, Joe, Woody and any other lads I met who's names escape me as I type. Also, a 'kiss and a hug' to Sarah, Sandie, Krissy, Lorraine, Violet, Autumn, Aleisha, and Rebekah for ciculating and meeting up with their fans. Finally a heartfelt show of appreciation to Wendy for her untiring efforts not only in organising the party, but also for taking time out at the party to be the perfect host and move around everyone ensuring they were enjoying themselves.
