Just as i thought loads of negatives and nothing creative, and yes you are correct lack of sign ups is not all down to the recession a lot of it is down to lack of creativity, so instead of just whinging try and be more creative when putting your galleries together as these are what will sell your sites, cut short of showing everything make people want to reach for their credit cards and view the whole scene, it may be Island mentality because we are are just that and we can get away with it if its done right as British porn lovers want to see British girls not a plastic doll from porn valley USA, and if you still think i am wrong then continue to give your content away for free and we will see where you are in a few years time !wink!

The whole of the entertainment media are doing badly at the moment, not just porn.

The problem in both camps is the BOREDOM of the consumer. Look at Sky for example, 10 years ago the idea of having 400 TV stations was very exciting, now, personally I find it all shit and watch the main 5 channels plus Dave. It used to cost a fortune to advertise on ITV now it's next to nothing, why? Cos no one's watching. Look at music, people are downloading everything they can for free.

I must take credit for being "Mr Gloom" 5 years ago when I predicted the slow but incessant demise of porn. I was mercilessly mocked for disagreeing with the idea that, "Punters will always want their fix."

I think you can still make money, but you have to have imagination, which actually doesn't necessarily mean shoving a blue light behind a sofa and having everyone walking around in rubber and in slo-mo waiting for the latex wearing pizza delivery boy to arrive in a hearse! It also doesn't mean having a camcorder wobbling around as if the operator has Parkinsons and going "Wey,hey,hey, missus, get 'em orff!"

Unfortunately porn producers en masse are a little like lemmings all herding towards what they think will be the next hot topic. For example in recent months both in the UK and Europe girls have been arriving on my shoots with bruises, when asked why, they've answered, "I've been doing loads of extreme stuff." I know of one huge internet site that is now shooting stuff depicting what is in effect, rape.

So as usual porn is starting again to pander to the lowest of the low in the hope of success.

Hey don't knock 'low'. We shoot extreme and low but to high standards. Curiously I agree with Carder - same girls doing the same thing! Who would pay for that if they can get it free via trailer.

Whether you shoot extreme or softcore - make it compelling and unique.

I also agree with OEJ. Getting bag for buck decreases the quality of your product. We've recently reduced the number of sets we get from a day shoot just so we can concentrate more on quality of lighting, focus, sound and of course scripted and compelling action.

I've worked in the US industry and they have a lot of money, equipment, staff..but no time for their.

More importantly they have no imagination!

Anyway's, any self respected SEO will tell you that the affiliate gravy train left the station years ago.

Carders Real partners eh? Hey why not? but I hear a lot of people hate working with couples because of how awkward some can be.

I relish working with difficult couples and dont mind creating a scene. In fact drama makes a scene more interesting....Like the couple that turned up once upon a time and said how sleazy it was shooting in a hotel room. Rather than get my back up I rode along with the drama...In fact I love it.

As long as I get to film some sexy time and get the splat shot then its game on.

Half the enjoyment of shooting difficult people is the tension. Thats what makes it more real and if they end up looking like they are enjoying it then thats gotta be the pay off.
