What is it with some of you!

my 'issue' is that most of these people are trying to take advantage of new girls who are not aware of what they SHOULD be paid for a job.
Yes, everything is negotiable, but most of these people become very abrupt and down right rude when the girls point out that they want more than is being offered!
Some have even said that if the girl is looking for that kind of money (?400 for a boy/girl anal scene) then she will NEVER get any work in this industry!
That is what my ISSUE is!

If a model is not aware of what we should be charging, that is their issue.

Why would you start working in an industry without doing research first?

These guys are chancing their arm and may get some cheap shoots out of it but most models will handle it the same way I do.

If a model decides to believe that they will never get work unless they work for peanuts, maybe they are too naive for this business....

A sex worker is a sex worker...escort/porn star so there is no difference between the two as both are paid for sex & both act, once this industry understands this it will get the trust & backing it needs but until them it will be as it is,,very biased with no real understanding of the girls in it.
?150 was to low to offer this girl as it would be for an escort & she did right refusing but MP3 was right that most producers pay porn star Pro / Am different rates, quite a few still mug off the girls with test shoots with no pay which is criminal but no one says nothing of this which is worse & every amateurs nightmare.

If a model is offering cut price rates to get some workin during lean times then that is her prerogative.

Nothing wrong with that.

Like John said, when peopel get narky is disrespectful

When girls have charged me ?700 thinking I am new to the business (yes really) I just shine em on and say they are too expensive.

I dont even bother re negotiate. I dont need to. They find themselves working for me before long when they find out who I am and if they want to.

With all due respect Paul, you are talking crap! It also shows. if your point is to be taken as an example of the people using this site, that this is NOT the place for new models to start looking for work!
I've been in the industry for well over 20 years and I've seen a lot of changes, not all of them good. But very few people over the years have taken the piss with new girls like they seem to do here on this site.
I'm NOT saying that everyone on this site is a piss taker, but some of the people who post here regularly definitely fall into that category!
I pointed Amaneta to this site and said it would be a good place for her to start looking for work in the business. I never realised that so many (NOT ALL!) people who use this site are just a bunch piss taking chancers, looking to exploit the naivety of new models.
Your attitude of " If someone is actively seeking paid work, then it's reasonable to expect them to have done some reasearch and be aware of what is and isn't a reasonable offer." is typical of what is wrong with this industry today!
Where, Paul are they expected to do their research on rates? Google?

Hi
I'd like to add it don't just happen to models.
When i first started out as a newbie photographer, and about my 3rd shoot in, i asked a very very well known model back then (8years ago) for a solo shoot with toys and what her rates were...
I shocked at the reply i got as it was along the lines of.. 'you can fuck me for ?300'! No mention of what i asked about.
So i replied along the lines of, 'i've not got ?300 i'm only looking for solo with toys'
I in return got a reply back, along the lines of 'It's still ?300'.
I never did the shoot.

Nah man. http://www.ukadultproducers.com I keep telling ya. Thats what we set ourselves up for.

Theres nothing sinister about it.

Just a bunch of regualr working producers who met up at public events. One producer nicely funded a forum for us to all keep in touch . We had meetings. Then it progressed to include network parties to keep the out of towners happy by making it more of an event.

Producers who face the same things as everyone in the industry and feel the odds are stacked againts them at all corners who are trying to turn their problems into solutions.

I think the models could do with their own trade association but they are more fractured and transient than us producers and yes Gi...Set up for people like you, me and John

Amaneta might have fared up better being on a producers site than a fan one you gotta agree that much John (not picking a fight by the way. You know we love our fights really.

We have set up resources for newbies, Porn School has interviews, audio streamed interviews of model experiences that Amaneta might find interesting, articles for new producers, news of current changes in legislation (you can post r18 movies legally right now because of the loop hole inthe law) clinic listings, general information for models, other model experiences and rates of pay also feature among many other things. We have had articles such as tax and even legal advice...plus we have the occasional visitor providing presentations from clinic reps to the BBFC and anti piracy

....But all most people like to hang on is us "masterminding control of the business"

Quite the opposite, we are trying to claw some of it back. Join us. Serioulsy everyone else at the top of this business has their own trade association AITA...Now producers do too

No disrespect to BGAFD because they mean well but SOME fans of recent years are messing things up for the fans at large.

Fair point Terry, but how are new models supposed to know about UKAP? I typed in 'Porn model rates' into google and you didn't come up on the first 20 pages (I checked!) ;)
And too be fair the BGAFD is better known as a place for new models to post looking for work. Although I'm not sure I'm going to be happy recommending them again without first warning them of the growing troll population!
