Make of this what you will...

A friend of mine has just informed me that ATVOD (you know, the people who stupidly think hardcore porn is TV-like) are using my old site www.bootybox.tv as an 'example' on their website.

Now if you've read the full article you'll know what I'm talking about when I say that I contacted this ....ahem......'father' who caught his son looking at porn (how dare he, the little scamp!....but he had taste, it was BootyBox porn!)

What they don't actually tell you is that this guy said that the problem he had was with one of the films...and not with the ease of access to the content. Tut tut ATVOD...!tut!

I contacted this guy, and firstly apologised for 'causing offense' (that was like giving away my soul, trust me) and then asked him to point out which film had caused the problem. He didn't reply! ..surprise, surprise!

I had decided to pull the plug on BootyBox LONG before ATVOD had suggested I change my preview clips and stills to softcore, so they have no right to use me as an example.

Here's an excerpt from one of the last emails I sent to ATVOD;


I'm sorry but I wasn't born yesterday. I know that was an ATVOD stitchup complaint, but we'll agree to disagree.

With all due respect, do you seriously think any UK website owner is going to only use soft '18' images on their sites to promote their hardcore content? No.

The unlocked web pages of a website are for surfers to 'window shop' and if there's soft images then first time visitors may think that the website only offers soft content.

It's effectively killing their business. You're in luck because I'm saving you the bother of hunting me down, because I am in fact shutting my sites down anyway.

I'm not going to give ATVOD the pleasure of progressively crippling my business with these ridiculous 'TV-like' based rules.


Let me just take a moment to tell you something about porn on the internet, as I want you to know where ATVOD's gone wrong. It's so obvious to me, so I will enlighten you guys.



I'm 36....so I'm not classed as 'young' anymore, but my younger brother is 22. He knows people who are under 18 who look at and download porn, and I've spoken to a few 16 year olds as well myself and asked them.

I don't know if you know but there's a trend in the world now that porn is 'free'......"pay for porn!!? no way!" everything is ripped off and the movie, music and adult industries are suffering as a result.

It's called piracy.


This trend is fed by sites such as....

http://www.xhamster.com
http://www.redtube.com

etc etc. Type 'free porn' into Google and see what you get!

Now, a few years ago I was married to a Turkish girl, and I found out that the Turkish government had banned You Tube from being seen in Turkey because it caused offence to Ataturk.

Now, what baffles me about ATVOD is that you are campaigning as crusaders to protect 'minors' in this country, and stop them looking at hardcore porn on the internet.

BAN THE TUBE SITES! You can simply block this country receiving them. That's 95% of your under-age viewings stopped right there!

Young people don't BUY porn!

Good for you Paul, though since one of the reasons that odious organisation exists in the first place is to cripple the UK porn industry such as it is, they will probably consider you closing down Bootybox to be a success for them.

Gaslight, you make a fair point but I think that most people under 30 generally are the most tube/torrent-savvy, and I know for a fact that the new Apple generation are far, FAR smarter than we think.

ATVOD are just an extension of our Government's naivety and they share all their silly well-intended but blind policy-making.

Punish the hard-working folk (because they fear us the most), and leave the big boys alone (because they're too much bother to take on)

As long as we're seen to be doing something hey? That will keep the voter content.
