Can you explain what's so cheeky about offering as-new dvds for sale at a lower price than available elsewhere? It's hardly a rip- off when I'm asking for LESS money. Or would you prefer that I gave them away jj? My philosophy in posting on this forum is to only post when I've got something useful or constructive to say. Judging by the volume and content of your contributions, you don't apply that discipline. I'll sell these dvds and then buy some more, thus contributing to continuing to support great artists like Cathy. I don't knock other people when they use this forum to sell or trade films, and I'd appreciate it if you could see fit to extend me that courtesy.

......make that 'useful, constructive and self-serving', and you're about right.
I wouldn't buy a six-week-old car at 99.9999% of the RRP. Would you?
And I'm only criticisng your greed, not your admirable aim of recycling/
supporting Britporn......as do I, when I suggest that for a couple of extra sovs one could put the money straight into Cathy's pocket.
There a problem with that?

An interesting and not entirely unexpected response jj.

I really shouldn't be even bothering but I'm bored so I will address your rather bizarre points.

Firstly, can we compare like with like? I am not selling cars - we all know the old addage about cars losing 33% or whatever it is as soon as they leave the forecourt. Depreciation isn't the same on every item as anyone with half a braincell fully understands. The dvds I'm selling are at 90% of their original price, thus a 10% saving, not a .00000001% saving as you suggest. Moreover, these same dvds are sold in other places for a lot more. Frankly, I have bought dvds myself at 10% off the RRP and there are many other people like me who consider that a saving. It equates to free postage and packing for example.

To suggest that I am some greedy money-grabbing scrote just for offering a few dvds for sale is insulting. With respect, you don't know me and you don't know anything about the condition of the product. That makes you ill qualified to comment. Feel free to continue making dumb-ass analogies but I feel sure that I'm not the only one who wishes you'd think before your hands touched your keyboard. Ordinarily, I make a point of avoiding any posts by you because they're frankly a waste of a mouse click. I don't doubt that you know your stuff but so do I and I don't feel I have to flame anybody on this forum.

If you feel that strongly about it, I suggest you write to Nicky Campbell and not bore the good folk on this forum with your opinions.

Fact !: you're offering a DVD for about 90% of the original price.
Fact 2: you respond to my justified criticism with patronage and cant.
If you sell it, good luck to you.
But please don't pretend you aren't trying to take the piss........
..and if you 'don't doubt that I know my stuff', what the hell does that last, highly abusive, and patently totally inaccurate, paragraph mean?
