a very good and considered reply Lucy. surely it's all a matter of choice for each girl/boy concerned. personally i see nothing wrong in prostitution and believe it's about time it was legalised.

hi
i feel very strongly on this subject ! yes a lot of porn girls i know do escorting too and good on them i have no problem with them but my main problem is people that think porn and escorting are one and the same and cant understand why if i do porn why wont i escort !! it really pisses me off !
to me porn is to create a product to be sold i dont do shoots purely so the guy gets his rocks off ! its also always filmed the camera is like another person in the room ! escorting is too personal and i feel the guys look down on you but in porn the guys look up to u !this is just how i feel!

all v constructive - good to have participation from the girls at the "sharp end" so to speak.
i guess the main dividing line is not so much the end result but the mindset of the participants - all of them, and the relationship between them.
With prostitutes/escorts/working girls, they may well like sex as much as some of the girls in the porn biz, (not at the 20 pound a punt end of the market tho), but it surely has to be mainly about the money. it's true that they don't know who they're gonna screw, but at the higher end of the market, a certain amount of vetting goes on, and with some of the top prices, they're not going to get just anyone off the street.
the punters are engaging in REALITY.
with porn, i'm sure not all the girls do love it as much as faye and denise, (they surely don't look like they do!), so that can't be it.
the girls are offered much greater protection and to the punter of porn, it is all about FANTASY - most could only dream of meeting, never mind screwing their fave porn star.
Now however is where the boundaries are blurring. i started reading of "parties" on the punternet board (i'm sure some of u are familiar with this), organised by enterprising working girls for about ?150 per punter.
i then found out about people organising their own special bukkake parties
for around ?30 per party guest.
i wondered for a while what the difference was and then some well known faces on the porn scene started doing parties - some 4 free. now i was really confused.
i have absolutely no complaints, and i certainly am not in a position to moralise - i don't think it's really a moral issue anyway - it's just that i have been able to do things i thought would remain in the realms of porn fantasy. and in so doing, i've become a part of the porn making process, become a part of (albeit v. small - lol) someone else's fantasy, the type who would never want to attend a party, nbut would happily jerk off at home alone with the dvd remote control (how times change - nearly said vcr!)
so i guess my "answer" would be that i think it's more or less irrelevant - the working girl is providing a service in reality, the porn star a service in fantasy - with exceptions of course.
apologies for the rambling post - and i hope this doesn't mean the end to any future party invites -
love 2 u all

what a pile of old crap. were all prositiutes! we all sell sex whether ur a actress, model, photographer, producer, mag editor. were all prositutes lets face it and im not ashamed to say i am.
some people will forever stereotype prostitution as the girl who stands on a street corner in a tiny mini skirt in the freezing cold all night.
people in porn need to realise they are part of THE ADULT INDUSTRY which includes escorts, massage parlours, swingers and lap dancing clubs, hookers, page 3 models, gay, straight and bi people and much much more.
