The 4 biggest productions I know about to date are:

The Fashionistas (3 DVD + CD soundtrack)

The Ass Collector (2 dvd + CD)

Space Nuts (2 DVD's)

Rawhide (2 DVD + CD)

Having asked Evil Empire was it worth it the answer was a resounding yes, sales have gone past their wildest expectations. Will they do more like it again yes, it works, sales for the film have been astronomic.

As a result other studios are starting to follow suit. Wicked with Space Nuts and Adam & Eve with Rawhide.

Having watched the first 3 The Fashionistas and The Ass Collector we amazing. Space Nuts was fun great CGI but the sex was a bit simple and unimaginative.

Are they worth it, YES. I wish more studios would go for it.

Zorro, what you're saying about The Fashionistas is rubbish. If lots of money was spent on that movie it was on the marketing, not the production. I'm an Evil Empire fan but I don't go for this bullshit "let's string this movie out across two discs and tart up the packaging so we can charge double for it". Who wants the fucking soundtrack CD?!? I know it won the AVN blah blah, but, er, read One Eyed Jack's comments above. You're happy to push the lie because you're flogging the product. Emperor's clothes.

The Fashionistas is rubbish in your opinion, not mind. Which is fair enough, everybody is allowed an opinion. Calling it rubbish is, however, a little unfair. It is not your kind of film, fair enough, don't buy it or others that follow like it.

I believe the problem with British films is they are not marketed enough, self publicity is essential and not expensive. British productions will only get bigger financing if they make more money. They will only make more money if people buy them, people will only buy them if they know about them, so you need to get people to know about them!

I work for an internet site, that advertises in all the major UK magazines, we also do alot of advertising abroad, we have a very good reach and have the ability to influence what films sell well. Yet we sell very few British Production, why? We have not been approached. If you want your products sold get them on every website imaginable. Get the websites to put them in their catalogue and ads, how do you do that? incentivise them with a better discount, everything is about profit. The more profit we make the harder we will push a product the more we sell the better it is for the producers because they shift more product making them more money and getting them better known.

Am I ranting probably, am I being unfair I do not think so. I feel the British Adult Industry is very like the British Film Industry, complains alot about how little money there is to ply their trade, but does very little about it.

Britain has some beautiful adult stars and some good production companies, and some great internet retailers. Lets get together and make things bigger and better. It should not be hard, just takes a bit of work.

I'm a big fan of Blissbox. I've spent too much money with you. I think you market yourselves very cleverly, your service is faultless and you're doing the British hardcore market a real service as well as clearly making good money for yourselves. I wasn't saying Fashionistas is rubbbish -- a lot of the sex is wonderful. But it's full of padding, I genuinely believe it wouldn't have cost too much to make, and it's been spun very cleverly.

Aside from that -- not having seen The Ass Collector and not having heard of the other two movies -- I agree with you.

Wonder what the budget was on Cathy Barry's 'Cathula' or 'A.E.R' movies? They look as If some good money had gone in to those productions, but not the kind of Money Private would spend. I have to say I do enjoy Relish's titles as I do like there stuff, although I'm not to sure about there budgets as well? I bought Scottish Loveknot and it was OK but not as great as it said to be. I thought the Private Gladiator & Cleopatra was a better effort. I prefer Privates earlier titles like The Tower & Virgin Treasures as it did contain some Brit performers but not really a Brit flick!! French producer Marc Dorcel produces some good stuff but For me when it comes to quality I have to rate Brit producer & director Viv Thomas, plus he uses Brits as well as European girls.

Thats really cool! Cathy, I take it 'Cathula 2' will be out some time next year?. Thought the location on the first one was great, and seemed very high budget. Looking forward to part 2.
