Fair enough, but if anyone had read even a couple of the posts preceding, surely they could have seen which way the thread was heading and safely ignored the rest, secure in the knowledge that they were missing nothing of vital import to the future of British Pornographia?

I repaired to the Silly Persons' Forum, tail between legs, as soon as that nasty Mr Woodgnome shouted at me, and had a good cry on Liz's scaly shoulder.
I have learned my lesson, and will in future refrain from trying to introduce the slightest hint of levity to the Big Persons' Forum, lest any old geezers sitting around in over-stuffed armchairs should have palpitations and require Forumic CPR from Matron (post usually filled by Phil K, except Tuesday afternoons, when the late Peggy Mount stands in as locum while he goes shopping for macaroons and Brussels sprouts).
