when a thread lapses into irrelevancy as this one has, please put 'O/T' in the subject header to avoid wasting the time of forumites interested in reading posts relating to british pornography (see section 4.3 of the faq).
your co-operation is appreciated.

So at that rate we'll have to wait 100 000 years for you to tone it down to bearable proportions........and there are lots of people from 'northern industrial slums' (and, I'm sure, from southern ones too) who are QUIETLY affluent.
Thankyou for allowing my curmudgeonly side (side? OK, sides, front and back) free rein, though.........

Of course it's a myth- it's their modesty that is minuscule.

Never been out of business dude (apart from a few weeks taken to regroup and chill with a little R & R) Nope; the tills are still ringing in the various enterprises to which I am a party.
As for fighting for the views of the right (This thread has suddenly turned all political hasn?t it? He thinks bemused.) I don't cleave to any particular party or grouping. No one influences me or has influenced me, I don't pretentiously espouse the views of any political doctrine because I think it will make me look cool, or 'right on', assuage some deep personal guilt complex or ingratiate me with the peer group I am chillin' with at any particular moment. My views have been formed through many years experience at the University of Life, a fascination with human behaviour, a talent for objective observation (surprisingly rare) and common sense pragmatism. I grant it may seem that I am a raving candidate for the Tory Back Benches or even a BNP seat in some dark satanic northern mill town and I take the ribbing in good part. It's good fun. But those who truly believe that have missed the nuances of my scribblings, it's much more complex than that. I guess a lot of my views do coincide with the general views of the right - free market, the respect of others (and also for others) that is achieved by having a strong effective army. And yes, the willingness to use it should anyone out there 'get lairy.' It's simply the natural order. It works. Nature designed it that way and has taken umpteen million years to the refine it and get it right.
On the other hand I support a National Health Service, free education for all, even social security. But, (this is where the common sense and rationality come in) with conditions and limits.
I support well funded public service broadcasting - so that talented people can make the kind of quality programs that in the 60' & 70's amazed and inspired some of us to think about things other than the council houses, workingmen's clubs, the chip and ketchup butties, or the dazzling future that lay before us - early morning shifts at the local steel mill. If it wasn't for public service broadcasting I might have no empathy or conception of art and culture. The seed of the idea that I might (in my humble way) be able to write stuff that folks would want to read, to create images that people would spend more than a fleeting second gazing at, to make movies that would entertain, may never have germinated in my mind. To my parents and peers art was simply a painting (probably the Mona Lisa) and was the preserve of posh folk in London. Nothing to do with poor working folk like us at all. So, thank you BBC for expanding my mind, for entertaining while inspiring. Yes, I support publicly fined broadcasting so that program makers do not have to compromise the quality and content of their work for fear that the hoi poloi will not watch. Instead turning over to some, mindless, vacuous, celerity Big Brother, pop-tart show. I have no problems with chipping in for that.
Immigrants? Hey, man. My closest friend and business associate sports the kind of suntan that a family can only acquire though many generations spent near the tropics. His family came here in the early sixties and his dad (so the story goes) walked up the M1 from London in his bare feet. When he arrived he got a lowly job in the steel mill and only sent for the rest of his family (who were staying with relations in London) when he had saved enough for a humble house in a rough part of town. My pal was born here. He goes for a pint, he supports the local team, he drives a Jag, he's as much a Yorkshireman as I am (probably more) and, at the risk of making him blush (though we'd never know it) never have I met a more honourable, trustworthy, stand up guy. Immigrants? I'm glad they?re here. They've made Britain a far more interesting, colourful, outward looking place than it was in the fifties. Every time we eat out I give praise that they have saved us all from 'bangers 'n' mash' 'fishfigers and peas' 'egg 'n' chips'. However, (common sense and rationality check) that doesn?t mean we should, or could, take anyone who wished to come here. This is a comparatively small island, it's to crowded already, we do not have any more space, if those who come do not bring money, or skills that we need, it means our individual share of the national pie will grow ever smaller. I regret I'm not up for that, and you might be intrigued to hear, neither is my second-generation immigrant pal.
Rights for consenting adults? Simple. It's your body. So, so long as you're not interfering with anyone else, or costing someone else money, do the fuck what you like with it. Coke fuelled orgies, private shagging clubs, exotic cigarettes, gay bondage parties. Have fun. Chose what to watch, what to listen to, when to live when to die. So, how right wing is that? Even Britain's so-called Liberals would choke on their muesli at that package.
Fact is there isn't a party that encompasses all these diverse opinions and policies (which is why I probably won't vote at the next election) Maybe I should start one?

I see.
The only reason I asked as to wether you were still in business was a recent post by Hitman 8/02/04 in the post by Buck....Online Ordering using Video Angels....non-received goods as an example of bad ordering experiences....sounded like the goods still hadn't ever arrived
Putting 2 & 2 together I assumed this meant you were still in rebuilding mode
cheers
