Haven't subscribed to either for years but I always found Tvx much better and slightly stronger than The Adult Channel.
There was always plenty of British stuff on The Fantasy Channel if a little too many repeats

Has anyone recently watched Xplicit and compared it to TAC or TVX? Why the different standards channel to channel? Is it something to do with TAC getting rapped over the knuckles by the ITC in 2002 for showing "unacceptably explicit anatomical details" I wonder? Seems like Xplicit have no such restriction and the anatomical details are as graphicly explicit as they possibly could be - every night.

Not heard of Xplicit - is it a new one. And is it on NTL cable?

I think the tone of many posters on this site, is that you only watch soft because you can't get hard, or you're too stupid or uninformed to know that if you climb on your roof and erect a satellite dish, you too can get to count the spots on a body- builder's dick penetrating a Hungarian girl's arse.Or better still see her get urinated on and perhaps if you're really lucky fisted as well!!
My belief is that there is a place for both hard and soft porn and as a producer of both, I don't see my soft programmes as a crap/cut down version of the hard. They are both different and have different emphasises.
TAC and TVX have a place in their present form, for example the thousands of couples who want to watch something together, without uneasy embarassment. So personally I don't see the lights going out at TVX and TAC if hard-core becomes freely available.You'll simply get a choice.Which is good.

Finally, (as I'm bored now and want to go to bed) as to the XXX question, maybe an X should be awarded for each different act performed, so a film featuring fucking of: pussy,mouth, arse and pissing, DP (an extra x for this), fisting, plus an X for each participant so with a cast of 12 in total, the film would carry a XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX rating. I'm sure a boffin could come up with a workable formula to facilitate this.LOL

Though we have never met, we are kindred spirits under the TVX banner. My advice to you is this - don't get too caught up by the opinions expressed on this forum. Many of the more aggressive posters will never subscribe to any form of Sky approved soft adult channel.

What you have to understand is that the vast majority of viewers who decide to take out a subscription to Television X, don't even know that this forum exists. Our target audience is the typical man in the street, who works hard all day and when he gets home, wants to watch a bit of smut before hitting the sack.

Thanks to the internet, everyone knows they can get a DVD of midgets pissing on a pregnant 90 year old at the flip of a switch. It isn't a question of hardcore vs. softcore, our viewers want to see great looking British girls in new and original action every night of the week.

I have become embroilled in this argument many times in the past and I have come to one conclusion. If the British channels are such a rip off, why do so many people subscribe year after year?

To summarise, don't waste your valuable time on people who will never have any respect for the work that you do.

I'm not sure there's much to choose between them, but the only thing I'd say is read the contract carefully. Unless it's changed in the last few years TVX has a 12 month rolling contract which automatically renews unless you give , I believe, one months notice. The adult channel used to allow 3 month subs or only require one months notice after the first 3 months.

Unless you are a dedicated fan of s/c, then I'd certainly choose the one which allows the shortest subscription; often repeated brit progs (think Paramount and Frazier) and loads of tedious, hacked US films become boring very quickly.

It would be interesting to hear your opinion of whichever after you've subcribed.

Yes its on NTL cable. Concerning the SC/HC issue I have no problem with SC as long as its clear to every one whats being sold. If it is a specific choice by TAC not to show more explicit content thats fine, but if its because they don't know whats happening on the other channels/ are more affraid of Ofcom than the rest thats not so good.
