whilst I understand your frustration, you've got to see it from a 'punter's' point of view......?40 in one shop, same dvd ?20 in another, payment made but no films received, payment made but dvd doesn't work when received, dodgy film packaging and re-packaging (e.g. phil McCavity), lack of genuine reliable suppliers.....need I go on? No wonder some punters ask for freebies having been ripped off. We all appreciate you guys supplying the material and of course you've got to be paid properly for doing so but the industry needs to sort out its distribution channels correctly!

"All you hear from punters is....".

Really, can you give us some recent examples?

Maybe this is the way to go... vending machine porn (from Relish)!

Perhaps I'm not reading enough about porn, as the first I read of this was at LukeFord.com today, although it is on the BBC website so I guess genuine.

U.K. EXPERIMENTS WITH PORN VENDING MACHINES IN PUBS

UGLY WOMEN GO HOME ALONE

A vending machine selling porn films for ?6 could soon be seen in gents' toilets across the Midlands.

The device has already been on trial for a month in three of the region?s pubs and has proved so popular that the porn film company behind the venture is considering supplying the vending machines nationally.

The machine contains films called Weapons of Mass Satisfaction, Naughty Nurses and Lessons in Love.

The DVDs are sold in a plain red case without pictures on the outside.

Cheltenham?s Midland Hotel is one of the pubs involved in the trial - and it has proved so popular with regulars that manager Russell Coglan has decided to keep it.

The 25 year-old from Gloucester said: ?People are often embarrassed about buying porn in shops. This machine sells soft porn from the comfort of a pub toilet so our customers feel less inhibited.

?There is nothing wrong with it because we are not a family pub - we only allow over-18s in. I think it is a good idea which will catch on.?

The two other pubs involved in the trial are in Gloucester.

The move to sell blue movies from pub toilets has sparked the wrath of morality campaigners who say the machine allows children to access porn more easily.

Miranda Suit, from watchdog Mediamarch, said: ?This is extremely worrying. There is no way with the best will in the world that pubs will be able to stop under-18s from buying the DVDs.

?The fact that such films are getting to be in easy circulation is a problem.?

But Jasper Duncombe, managing director of Tongue in Cheek - the firm behind the vending machine, said: ?There are many venues who want to try and see whether the machine is successful. They should have the freedom to do that.

?What right do these campaigners have to say that people shouldn?t watch these DVDs??

I visited Denmark a few years ago and vending machines selling hardcore mags were common place, so maybe this already happens in other countries?

This is totally to be expected, when a "distributor" get its hands on your product, from then on they believe it is theirs to do what they like with, regardless of what they may have promised.
The answer one day will be to have a producers' co-operative distribution channel........................of course this will never happen, and so the distributors and pirates will carry on getting richer and richer.

I went to Japan a few years back, and there were two vending machine next to oneanother,

One selling panties (new - not the more than likely ill publicised used ones) and one selling vids.

Curious thing was... this was outside a temple!!!

You just create links in the markup language to a picture elsewhere on the web, its all described in their FAQ tutorial.

The 5K limit is to do with having a picture against your user profile (aka an Avatar)
